Coman Adds USA Offer

Coman Adds USA Offer

While Kivon Coman may be best known as the cousin of top recruit Beniquez Brown, the talented cornerback has begun to attract serious interest in his own right. Read what he has to say about his latest offer and the opportunities that lie ahead of him.

Coman is the kind of prospect that can really take off once his recruiting catches fire. A 6'1", 185lb defensive back with the size to play safety and the speed (4.6 40 yard dash) to play corner. These attributed and his skills have gotten him offers from South Florida, Arkansas State and UT-Martin this spring and now he has added one from in-state South Alabama. He has also gotten interest from Mississippi State and Auburn but will probably wait until close to Signing Day before making any decisions.

While he has not yet visited Mobile, Coman already has a positive impression of what USA has to offer.

"Everybody that I've talked says that they love it," said Coman. "I have a friend from high school (OL Caleb Carbine) who's transferring there. He told me he visited there and he really like it and that's why he made the decision to go to South Alabama."

Coman currently has plans to camp at Michigan State, South Florida, Auburn and Arkansas State. If he can fit it into his schedule he will attempt to participate in one of USA's camps this summer. If that doesn't work out he will take a standard visit to South Alabama.

Coman is a player known for his awareness in coverage and excellent technique. Wherever he lands at in February, the fans of that school will soon be aware themselves of what a valuable addition they've made to their program.
