Prattvile Pipeline Keeps Flowing

Prattville High School has been very kind to South Alabama. In addition to providing building block players like Trey Clark and Alan Page, this year it has also produced commitments Terrance Jones and Trey Minor. And now another Lion has decided to become a Jaguar.

Cornerback Lawon Debardelaben is the latest Prattville player to give his pledge to South Alabama. The speedster contributed 36 tackles and defensed 14 passes last year as a junior for the Lions.

According to the Mobile Press Register, Prattville head coach has this to say about Debardelaban's commitment:

"He felt comfortable with it and he's excited about going to South Alabama."

"He's going to finish as either the MVP or the top two or three in the state of Alabama combine. He's done well at all the combines. He runs a low 4.4 or upper 4.3 (40-yard dash). He has long arms, he's very athletic, a kick returner ... the kid can do a lot of different things. He's a tremendously athletic kid who's a great cover corner. He has a lot of ability."

Dubose said Debardelaben "will play very quickly at South Alabama, along with the other guys. We're talking about kids who will contribute as freshmen. ... South might have to work hard to hold on to these guys because all three are SEC-type guys."

Debardelaban chose USA over offers from Rice, Arkansas State and Memphis.
