Randon Carnathan is still holding 4 scholarship offers, but that might change if he continues to have games like the one he turned in last Friday night. Carnathan had 10 tackles, 4 tackles for a loss, and 1 sack.
JagasJungle.com caught up with the big defensive lineman Sunday afternoon, and he tells us about his game.
“I had a good game,”
Randon Carnathan
said from his home in Leeds (Ala.).
“I had 10 tackles, 4 for a loss, and 1 sack. We won 55-0 over White Plains. We play Walter Welborn next week, and that is a region game,” Carnathan noted.
Randon also reports that recruiters have been in contact with him since they are now allowed to contact recruits once per week.
“All the schools that have offered me have been in contact with me,” he said. “I have heard from
South Alabama
,
Southern Miss
,
Army
, and
Arkansas State
.”
“I have scheduled one official visit for the 27th of this month. I will visit South Alabama on that day, but I haven’t set anything else up to this point.”
Carnathan has also been hearing from several other schools. “I have been hearing from JSU,
Middle Tennessee
, Samford, and Columbia,” he stated.
Randon has 3 favorites at this time, but he isn’t ready to make a decision anytime soon.
“My favorites are South Alabama, Southern Miss, and Arkansas State. I got a call from the coaches at Arkansas State after they beat
Texas A&M
last week. They were bragging about it, “Carnathan said with a chuckle.
“They wanted to let me know they played 3 true freshmen from the state of Alabama, and they were looking for another one that could get playing time, in me.”
“That was a big win for Arkansas State, and it has made me step back and take a harder look at them,” Carnathan said.
The big defensive lineman will take his time with his decision.
“I am going to try and visit all the schools that have offered me before I make a decision, he concluded.
