Knowing that, startup South Alabama is in the process of developing a relationship with the Leopard program, along with many others in the talent-rich Gulf Coast area. After an excellent season at Nebraska, Jay R Strowbridge had no lack of suitors once he decided to transfer. Interest from several Sun Belt schools and many other programs gave him many options, but ultimately he was looking for a home.   Full Story

MOBILE, Ala. -- Senior guard Demetric Bennett scored a career-high 39 points, including the Jaguars's first 20 of the game, to lead South Alabama to a 71-67 victory over Mississippi State in the Coors Classic Saturday night at the Mitchell Center.    Full Story

NASHVILLE-- The Vanderbilt Commodores improved to 6-0 Thursday night with a thrilling 91-88 double overtime victory over the Jaguars of South Alabama. The Commodores were led in scoring by Shan Foster with 26 who was 6-11 from behind the 3-point arc. The Commodores had a total of four players in double figures, including A.J. Ogilvy with 19, Ross Neltner with 25 and Alan Metcalfe with 14.   Full Story
